Let's Talk about Hanford: Hanford History Part II

The Washington State Department of Ecology has scheduled the fourth edition of the Let's Talk About Hanford virtual conversations!

Join Ecology live 5:30 p.m. Sept. 28 for Hanford History Part II.

In this fourth discussion, they'll be diving into the history of the Hanford Site from the end of World War II through the signing of the Tri-Party Agreement in 1989. They covered the first part of Hanford history in a May event, and encourage you to watch that event's recording if you missed it.

Robert Franklin is slated to join the live conversation as a returning featured guest from Hanford History Part I, along with Ginger Wireman, Ryan Miller, and Daina McFadden from the agency's Nuclear Waste Program.

Franklin is the assistant director and archivist of the Hanford History Project, director of the Hanford Oral History Project, a certified archivist, and a lecturer in the History Department at Washington State University Tri-Cities.

Following a history presentation, Ecology will answer your questions involving the Hanford Site during the Cold War years.
